COVID-19 PROTOCOL
Premier Eyecare of Roswell, in response to the current health situation, has revised our office policies. Our goal is to continue to provide outstanding care to our patients while protecting our patients and staff from unnecessary exposure to any potential pathogens. We are working to provide 6 feet of social distancing when possible and initiating other policies and procedures when not possible while you are in our office. Please review our policy revisions and plan to adhere to them while visiting our office. If you feel you are unable to adhere to our new policies please speak to our office staff at 770-518-4884 to address your concerns.
-
Do not come to the office if you are feeling sick, have been exposed to or around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is self-quarantining within the last 14 days. If you have traveled out of state or internationally in the last 14 days, we ask that you schedule your appointment for 14 days after you have gotten home from your travels.
-
Appointments are now required for all services such as exams, repairs and adjustments to glasses and purchase/pickup of glasses/contacts. No walk-ins will be accepted.
-
Everyone will be required to properly wear a mask while in our office and practice social distancing. Please try on mask before your visit to insure that it fits properly. Continued information from the CDC and other public health authorities confirms that the transmission of COVID-19 is greatly reduced by people wearing masks whenever they are around others. It has recently come to light that certain face coverings do not provide adequate protection from transmission of COVID-19. Neck gaiters (stretchy wraps worn around the neck and pulled up over the face), bandanas and masks with valves do not provide adequate protection against the spread of the virus. Accordingly, these types of face coverings will no longer satisfy our office's mask requirements.
-
Please do not bring any food, drink, gum or candy into the office. You will not be able to wear your mask and partake of any of the above mentioned items, so please leave them in your car. You will be taken straight back for your appointment so bringing in unnecessary items such as laptops and papers to work with will not be needed as our scheduling no longer has waiting times once inside the office so please leave those in your car as well.
-
If they absolutely must be answered during your appointment we ask that all phone calls be taken outside (please let them go to voicemail if at all possible so that we may finish your appointment in a timely manner). If your phone requires facial recognition you must use your code instead of removing your mask or leave the office before using the facial recognition.
-
While we enjoy seeing your families, we must ask that only the patient with an appointment come to our office. In the case of a minor only one parent/guardian may accompany them to their appointment (no siblings allowed).
-
Our office now has all paperwork (both new and previous patients) online. There are separate forms for contact lens wearers as well as for glasses wearers. If you are coming in for an exam only, please fill out glasses paperwork. Please make sure that you have filled out the appropriate forms for your visit 48 hours after booking your appointment.
-
Make sure you bring your method of payment, including any health savings cards and your current pair of glasses with you to the office. If you are planning on purchasing new glasses but plan to use your own frame, you need to bring it with you as you will be required to leave your frame so that it can be sent to the lab with your lenses order. Make sure to bring a secondary backup if you need glasses for your drive home.
-
When trying on frames now, please wait for assistance from us. We will need to keep all frames that you try on separate for sanitization. Current guidelines are that all frames that are tried on must be cleaned before they can be tried on by another patient. For this reason, if you are not planning on purchasing glasses we will ask that you refrain from trying on frames. We have always allowed patients the opportunity to browse frames at will but unfortunately for the safety of everyone this cannot be permitted at this time.
-
When you arrive please stay in your car and call the office before coming in. We will let you know when you are able to come in (it is safer for you to social distance in your car).
-
We are scheduling all of our appointments with time between patients so that we have time to clean areas that you will be in. Therefore, it is important for us to stay as close to schedule as possible. Please arrive as close as possible to your scheduled appointment time. We will not be able to see you if you arrive early and you will just spend extra time in your car. If you are too late, we will have to reschedule your appointment out of respect for the patients with appointments after you.
-
During this time we will have a strict cancellation and no show policy. If you need to to cancel please do so within 48 hours. If you do not cancel or no show your appointment, you will be billed a $100 fee.
FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PATIENTS AND STAFF YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ADHERE TO ALL OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED POLICIES, IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND YOU WILL NOT BE SEEN.
